Digital day: 3D printing for beginners
Stadtbibliothek (municipal library)
With the help of 3D printing, materials such as plastic, metal, ceramics, chocolate and even glass can now be layered into all kinds of shapes: Spare parts, favorite pokemons, but also aids for visually impaired people, for example, can be created in this way.
In the workshop, participants can gain their first practical experience, gain insights into the possible uses and take home a 3D-printed souvenir.
In cooperation with Sabrina Deck (International Center for STEM Education (ICSE) at the University of Education Freiburg) and Ahmed Hamza (Institute for Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) at the University campus Freiburg). Both are part of the Franco-German project Education 3D, which is funded by Interreg and aims to use 3D printing to facilitate access to high-quality, barrier-free teaching for all learners in both neighboring countries, particularly in inclusive education.
