Lecture and discussion Catholic Academy in cooperation with the Günter Anders Research Center of the University campus Freiburg, the Studium generale of the University of Freiburg and the Theater Freiburg

The research of Augsburg environmental historian Simone Müller has impressively shown "why war, or what remains of it, is of central importance for the emergence of the Anthropocene and for life in it". Müller states: "Military activities fundamentally and permanently change our planet." This leads her to the conclusion: "An adequate understanding of the Anthropocene is unthinkable without including military actors and activities."

We invite you to this lecture at 5.30 p.m. in the theater so that you can attend the thematically related musical theater "Doctor Atomic" by John Adams and Peter Sellars at 7.30 p.m. if you are interested.

After the performance, there will be an opportunity to talk to Prof. Dr. Simone Müller and the theater team.
