Creative workshop: Module 9 - Mixed Media - Let go of everyday life
I am Petty Heisler, ARTist and designer. I guide people in intuitive drawing and painting for the soul. In my courses I open up spaces for self-expression, inner clarity and playful depth - free from perfection and pressure to perform, connected to the inner play child.
Mixing is a wonderful creative experience. It is always a surprise.
We will tear papers and glue them on canvas, find sayings that call us and give them a space on our creative surface. When priming, we work with a hard black and white contrast - and will paint over it with glazes, spray with water and observe what happens. We will intuitively create ornaments. We imagine flowers and buds in our mind's eye and paint them like a child - without thinking - simply free without pretension or perfection. We stick in shapes with adhesive tape and after working over them in several layers, we detach them and let ourselves be surprised. With pastel chalk we sketch lines - shapes - whatever calls us. Later, we create leaves and work on them with a comb to create charming patterns.
We give simple bird silhouettes the space to fly on our canvas and take us on this journey into the land of creative wings.
