Traditionally, this call will once again be shouted countless times into the darkness of the evening on 21.02.2026.

The bonfire has been a tradition for many years and is intended to chase away the winter after Shrove Tuesday.

It is popular with young and old. By throwing a burning wooden disc over a wooden ramp, it is also very often

a kind thought or good wishes to a loved one - sometimes loudly, sometimes silently.

The fire is lit at dusk. Discs and sticks can be purchased on site.

Catering starts at 17:30 and is provided by the Musikverein Freiburg-Tiengen, with steaks and sausages from the barbecue, mulled wine, children's punch and other drinks.

You are welcome to bring your own mulled wine cups or glasses

Location: Freiburg-Tiengen, Alte Breisacherstraße in the direction of Rebberg/Attilafelsen after leaving Tiengen

Admission: Free

Alternative date: in case of bad weather, the bonfire will be postponed to 28.02.26
